May-05. After coming back from Mexico we drove up the 405 from Anaheim to Malibu. Even here, at one of surfing's sacred spots there wasnt a wave to be found... unless you count the the half foot bump (crowded ofcourse) that rippled across the water every half hour or so.

Its nice up here, but I think I prefer the vibe down at Newport better... at least down there you can swing a dead cat without hitting a movie star.
Completely disgusted I didn't get a surf in at all on my Southern California holiday, I took off down Sunset back into Hollywood looking for some decent junk food.

Below is a picture of Laguna Beach.. or near by there. We stopped there for a couple of hours on the way to San Diego. A couple of days later it was in the news due to a landslide that took out a couple of houses.
