I took these pictures In September 2004 on
a trip to Melbourne. My brother Glenn and I drove from Sydney
to Perisher (in the Snowy Mountains) where we went skiing
for the weekend. From there we drove South to the Victorian
coast which we followed until we came to a National Park known
as Wilson's Prom.
We timed the trip just right, so we arrived just before sunset.
We looked for a suitable West facing beach.. we started at
Tidal River, then moved up to Squeaky Beach.. so named because
of the sound the sand makes as you walk upon it.
I've wanted to come to this area for a while... I've flown
over it before years ago.. see
pictures here ... and I wasn't disappointed. We
stayed here for around an hour taking photos, then drove to
Foster for a pub meal before continuing on to Melbourne.
