Will visitng my family in Melbourne my brother Paul and I
went down to Point Leo, an hour or so south of Melbourne,
to try to find some decent surf.
There wasn't much going on swell wise, but there was this
great storm cell moving across Westernport Bay, causing the
rainbow you can see in the picture above.
This picture looks across the bay to Phillip Island, the tip
of land you can see is the western most edge... somewhere
around the Nobbies I think.
From Pt Leo we travelled along the Bellarine Peninsula to
the 'Backbeaches' where we finally found some waves. After
the surf we had lunch in the Portsea Hotel, then followed
the storm cell, which by this time had made its way across
the landmass seperating the two bays to Rosebud, where I took
the picture below.
