Pool, Tidal 5/365
Bronte Tidal Pool, Sydney
Had drinks at the Wentworth after work, then headed through the city to Bronte Beach. It had been raining and there was a bit of fog about, which I hoped to capture rising swirling around the pool… but this shot was better than the pictures I took closer by the steps..
Preserved for prosperity in the picture (slight pixel blur in pool) is Rob Baldwin, who came up and talked to me while I was shooting. He was enjoying an invigorating swim at 10pm in the cold pool while the surf crashed around him.
Packing for cruise now… leaving tomorrow… cant wait!
Dusty Beach Road 3/365
From my favourite Springsteen song… no burned out Chevrolets though… didnt have enough time..haha Ok.. so I cheated by 4 hours on this one…still haven’t figured out what to do about Wednesdays yet… may be in for some early early mornings… I realise the whole point of doing this is to take one picture every day… I’ll try not to cheat again 
The Sea was Grumpy this day… 2/365
Ok… I’m pretty happy with this shot. I drove to Bronte straight after work and walked towards Bondi as usual. I noticed a bit of wave feedback off the rock shelf below.. ie, waves rebounding into each other, creating bigger waves, and moved closer to try to capture. While I was sitting there, the sun came out of the clouds and reflected across the heavy surf. I made around 20 attempts before getting the one above. So tomorrow is gonna be a problem, unless I cheat… Wednesday I go League bowling after work and dont get back until late…Hmmm
This is the Beach Closest to my Home: Get used to it!! 1/365
I’ve started my own 365 project… I’m gonna try to take a new beach picture every day for the next year… maybe explore some different creative techniques… no reason why the self portraiturers should have all the fun… Not sure I can get to the beach everyday but I’ll try.. no 1 above was taken at the beach closest to my house at Brighton Le Sands. I walked down there after work and took this 3 shot multiple exposure of the kite surfers.

From Byron I drove North… with a quick stop off at Cabarita Beach, just South of the Queensland border.
I really like this picture..I can’t stop staring at this picture.. I think the flaws fascinate me as much as the positives…
I think this is a good showcase for the positives and negatives of HDR too… tonal issues vs amazing clouds possible from increased dynamic range.
