Four Mile Beach – Port Douglas
Im half way through doing the South Sydney beach guide page, taking a break to process picture from recent Port Douglas trip. This is the third beach in the Nth Queensland guide…
Bronte Beach – Sydney
No time to work on web site today. I’ve been thinking that I might focus the site on Australian Beaches, at least at the start… this will be easier for me to get things started (as I live in Australia). I will probably still include some Overseas beaches, maybe as a weekly special or something…
Brighton Le Sands – Sydney
This is the last South Sydney beach, next job is to create the South Sydney Beach Guide page, then move onto next area.. which will probably be Cairns to Cape Tribulation.
Things are going well so far, with nearly 10000 page views over the last few weeks. Im still not happy with the links between pages though… this will be something I work on during the clean up.
Bare Island – Sydney
Just added Bare Island page to Beachwiki.org. Nearly finished South Sydney beaches now, when done I will go through all pages and beef them up.. adding links between them and cleaning up format, as it has evolved a fair bit since first page!
As part of Beachwiki.org I have also created a gallery which will contain all beach photos sorted by location. The gallery can be viewed here.
Long Bay – Malabar
Long Bay is the latest addition to Beachwiki.org. It is a quiet beach compared to others in Sydney, known mostly for being the site of the shipwreck Malabar. Read more about Long Bay here.
I’ve nearly finished all the South Sydney Beaches, should get done by next week. Im thinking of creating a category page with a master map and ‘best of’ list detailing best surf breaks, places to eat etc..
Maroubra Beach – Sydney
I’ve started a new website, called Beachwiki.org. Its purpose is to give information on beaches including Activities (like surfing, sunbaking, fishing etc..), Restaurants, and Accommodation. I also will include a short history on how the beach got its name, and any interesting things that have happened like shipwrecks.
Bronte Beach – Sydney
Bronte is a popular beach 8km (5mi) South of Sydney, in New South Wales, Australia. It is a medium sized sandy beach with rock platforms at each end. Behind the beach is a big grassy park, with picnic tables, shelters and barbecues.
Bronte is an ocean surf beach, the middle of which faces East. Access to the beach is by car, bus or walking.
Tamarama Beach – Sydney
Tamarama is a very popular beach 7km (4mi) South of Sydney, in New South Wales, Australia. It is a small sandy beach surrounded by rocky cliffs common to the Sydney coastline. Behind the beach is a nice grassy park, along which is a concrete path, part of the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk.
Tamarama is an ocean surf beach, the middle of which faces South-East. Access to the beach is by car, bus or walking from Bronte or Bondi.
Cow Bay – Cape Tribulation
Taken in North Queensland, near Port Douglas. Up there they pick up and drop off boats by driving into the bay.
Wanda Beach – Sydney
Wanda is my favourite ‘after work’ beach.. theres usually good surf there and its never too crowded.
