Noah Beach – Nth Qld
Beach of the Day.. Noah Beach in Nth Qld. This beach is just south of Cape Tribulation and has a camping ground with 15 spaces behind the foreshore.
Killcare Beach – Central Coast
Visited a few of the beaches on the southern part of NSW’s Central Coast on Sunday, including Killcare, above. Despite living in Sydney for a number of years, this was the first time I have visited this beach. Click Beach info above to look at the page I created on Beachwiki.org
Coledale Beach – NSW
Next beach I stopped at after Scarborough was Coledale, which has a caravan/tent park on the foreshore. I was surprised to see a camping reserve right on the beach at a place so close to Sydney, less than an hour away really.. It looked like a good beach for fishing too and spearfishing too.. with a big rockplatform on the south side… with this and the view from the Scarborough Hotel, I plan to stay over on this beach soon..
Bronte Beach – Sydney
Updated a bunch on pages on Beachwiki.org. I’ve put alot of effort into the site recently.. still got alot of work to do though. So far I have placed in all the Australian beaches I have photos for (around 150) and I am now updating information for them..
Scarborough Beach – NSW
Drove south from Sydney on Saturday to a beach called Scarborough-Wombarra, about an hour south from where I live. The beach shares both names of the small towns it crosses, which is pretty unusual and makes for some big signs. Afterwards I went to the nearby Scarborough Hotel for a drink and was very impressed with the place, especially the view from beer garden. Plan to re-visit soon to try out their $80 seafood platter.
Greenmount Beach – Coolangatta
Leftover picture from trip to Gold Coast last December. Im planning next trip up there for a guys surfing weekend mid Feb.. airfares are booked, just need to find some accommodation. We stayed at Nara Seaworld resort on last trip, but may try something a bit further south as we will probably spend alot of our time checking out breaks at Kirra and Burleigh Heads.
Windang Island and Beach
Went to a place called Windang Island yesterday, which is about 10km south of Wollongong, just over an hour out of Sydney. The guys went fishing of the island while the girls sunbaked on the beach. I went spearfishing, but there wasn’t anything worth catching, although the scenery was nice. I also saw a Port Jackson shark and a whole heap of cuttlefish. Im having some issues with my new underwater camera at the moment.. as soon as they are fixed I will start posting some pics from snorkelling. More
