Feb-06 Another surfing weekend, this time my brother and his wife came as well. Surf was not great, but we had an ok time. Above is Point Plomer, a bumpy 20km trip from Crescent Head. We went here in desperation on the last day of the trip.. we managed to get a couple of waves.. but nothing too special

Below is sunset at Crescent on our first day. No real surf so we ended up fishing in the shallows... I didnt catch anything, but there must have been fish around cause my brother Paul caught one and shortly after we left a pod of dolphins came in close and were chasing something (see last photo).

Above you can see the crappy surf we had to put up with in Port Mac.... below you can just make out one of the dolphins that stole all our fish...........

The weather was a bit better this morning.. there was even odd patches of sunlight between the rainy squalls. I shouldn't complain about the weather though... at least its consistent! From Mt Eden we visited a Maori museuem before eating lunch at one of the beaches along Mission Bay, which all have great views of Rangitoto Island... yet another volcano.
